Keeper

The protruding, hook-shaped part of a casement window lock, which is mounted on the inside surface of the sash style.

Knocked-Down (KD)

Not assembled; parts for a window or a door frame pre-manufactured for assembly at a later date on the job site.

Krochmann

Damage Function (KDF) - Used to rate a window's ability to limit fabric-fading potential. It expresses the percentage of both UV and of that portion of the visible spectrum that passes through the window or door and causes fading. Lower numbers are better.
